POEMS

All Along

This actually happened to me.
That’s why I wrote this poem.

I have realized something very true
That sometimes people turn on you.
You think they are your best friend
Until that friendship quickly ends.

To lose a friend and gain a foe,
You ask yourself what you've done wrong.
You start to crack,
And almost break.
You think because of this
Your heart will forever ache.

And all along, right beside you
A true friend stands strong,
To tell you've done nothing wrong.
You ask yourself why didn't I see
This best friend right beside me?

And all of a sudden
Your heart starts to mend,
Just because of this best friend.
