Friends Never Die

As I lay beneath a starlit sky,
I drift over the mountains high.
Over the rivers and sea that flows
There is a friend I'll never see,
And yet my friend is a part of me!

We share a friendship so rare and true,
Mountains, rivers and sea may keep us apart,
But you, my friend, will always be in my heart.
A friendship like ours is hard to break,
For we'll have each other forever.

When I am gone, I will not be far.
Look to the heavens, then you will see
There is an angel watching over you.
As you see, a friend I will always be,
Even from far above, I'll keep you close to me.

When I see your time is done,
I'll be at heaven's gate waiting for you,
I'll take your hand and lead you to the promised land.
So remember, my friend, I'll always be near.
Even when I am gone, you need not fear.
Just whisper in the wind, and I'll be there.
A friend, I will always be a friend!
