How To Do Hands-On Healing

A FEW GROUND RULES 
Each of us can become an instrument of healing energy channeled to others. This process is not hard or complex, and can be learned by a system of visualization. It is a spiritual process which can be used in conjunction with traditional medicine.

At no time should a hands-on healer diagnose, prescribe or treat a person. The healer is merely an instrument for universal energy. The person receiving the energy is the one that is doing the healing together with their Higher Power.

There are no esoteric practices that need to be learned, and anyone can do this. Once this process is learned, it can be done in any location. However, at first, I would recommend that you be in a quiet place away from noise and disturbances. More than one person can work on an individual at the same time. There is no limit on how many can channel healing energy to a person. You do not have to be a relative or friend to do this process. However, if love already exists between the healer and the receiver, then the process will be stronger because of the love already in your heart.

MAKING A START 
To begin, breathe deeply and relax. See yourself surrounded by a cloud of pink light. It is warm and comforting as you take it into yourself and feel love filling your body. You feel the love coming through the crown of your head. It is filling your head and softly extending into your shoulders, down your arms, and into your hands. You feel it filling your heart and upper chest. As you feel the warmth fill your body, you can sense your oneness with the universe and the person in need of healing before you. They are your brother or sister, and you know that they are a perfect being in the eyes of your Source. You feel love for them welling up inside you. You continue to feel the love as it is now filling up the lower part of your chest, and continues down your legs and into your feet.

ENERGY OF THE UNIVERSE 
Now, feel roots coming out of the soles of your feet and going into the earth. Feel the energy of the earth and become a part of it. As you sense the energy, feel it rising up into you from your feet and rolling up your body until it reaches the very hair on top of your head. Become one with the earth energy as it joins with love, and feel it as it flows in your body.

See a link going from the top of your head to the sun, and from the sun connecting to the other stars in the universe, and into a vast network of love. Watch the love flow along the lines formed in the network and come down your link and flow into your body. You are now a part of a vast web filled with love and healing energy that exists in the universe.

CONNECTION 
You are connected, and are one with The Source of Universal Energy. You feel the energy flowing into your body and centering in your heart. Look to the person you wish to channel healing to, and feel a oneness with that person. Know without a doubt that person is your brother or sister and each of you is a child of your Creator. Feel your love and the Universal Energy filling your heart until it starts to overflow and percolate down into your arms and hands. Your hands may begin to feel warm, vibrate, or even cold, as you begin to become a channel for healing. Even if you feel nothing, do continue the healing, since often the person needing the energy will receive what is correct for them without your necessarily feeling it.

THE ACTUAL HEALING 
Place your hands on the area of the person that needs healing and ask that love and light fill this area and heal this person on all levels of his or her being. If it is not acceptable to touch the person receiving the healing in that area, leave your hands about 2 inches (5cm) above the person and know that the energy is going into the person. Intention is what guides the energy. See the area filling with the light that is appropriate for healing in that area, and visualize the body being healed and KNOW that it is happening. Your hands may become quite warm now, and you may feel the energy transfer to the person as you work on them. Often, you will know where to place your hands on the body of the receiver of the energy. Go with the information you are given intuitively. It’s best to not question it as it is being received. You might ask at this time that this healing continue through the coming days and also spread to their family, community and coworkers.

FINISHING OFF 
When your hands cool off, the cycle has been completed and the hands can be moved to other parts of the body or taken off if you feel the healing is complete. At this point, you may wish to thank your Creator for being able to serve others and spread love. Ask that any leftover energy be sent to the planet to be used for healing of our world. You may also wish to disconnect yourself from your links with earth and universe at this time.

DISTANT HEALING 
If the person that you wish to channel healing to is not in the room, you can do this process by visualizing the person in front of you and going through the steps in your mind. Always ask if it is permissible to channel to the person. If you cannot ask in person, ask your higher self if it is allowed. You will be given an answer. Man was given free will. We have the right always to reject a healing if we feel it is not for our best and highest purpose. I know several fine healers that I do not always allow to work on me simply because the energy they are channeling at that time is not compatible with mine.

IN CONCLUSION 
Finally, I would like to say that you can’t heal everyone. Sometimes, even though it might cause us great pain, it may be the person’s time to exit this place and go on. Bless them and ask that energy aid them in the transition.
